Did you know that just by drinking tea, you can look younger, lose weight and feel great?

How can drinking 2 cups of tea each day provide SO MANY benefits? How is this possible?

Well, the tea plant, Camellia Sinensis,  is comprised of three main ingredients that aid in these amazing benefits: 

1. Caffeine

2. L-theanine

3. EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) - the miracle antioxidant

All three of these ingredients work together as a team to promote a healthy system inside and out.

(FUN FACT: The caffeine, found naturally in the tea leaf, is a natural deterrant from insects. When the insects come to take a bite out of the tea leaf, they are turned away by the bitterness of the caffeine.)

 

 

Caffeine is very important for weight loss because it helps to stimulate the system. However, too much caffeine can be harmful. Caffeine then works along with L-theanine. L-theanine is a very rare ingredient found only in the tea leaf and a very rare mushroom that grows in outer Mongolia.

What is L-theanine?? L-theanine is a non-protein based amino acid that hinders caffeine's harmful effect and also regulates seratonin and dopamine so you don't feel hungry throughout the day.

Together, what do caffeine and L-theanine do for your body?

What exactly do antioxidants do in the body?

Antioxidants are like little cellular surgeons. When they are ingested into your system, they actually repair damaged cells.

How do our cells get damaged?

Our cells are constantly being damaged from improper eating, breathing in polluted air, taking medications, and even exercising! These damaged cells are called free radicals. You hear us talk a lot about our tea helping to repair free radicals...when you ingest our tea, you are repairing all of those damaged cells for a healthier body, inside and out.

You see, free radicals attach on to good cells and then they start to grow and grow and multiply. This growth then leads to cancer and diseases, heart attack, stroke, higher cholesterol and weight gain.

The more antioxidants you consume, the less cellular damage you have, and therefore, you are able to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, stay slim and prevent cancers. AWESOME!

Tea helps to hydrate your system, not dehydrate it like coffee does. Hydrated skin shows less fine lines and wrinkles and leaves you with a healthy glow and younger looking skin.
